I took my measurements today.

I'm not sure what is "ideal" but this is what I came up with:

Bust: 35"
Waist: 29"
Hips: 35"
Left Arm: 12.5"
Right Arm: 12.5"
Left Thigh:
Right Thigh:

I do not remember the thigh measurements, they were either 15.75 or 18.75, but I can't for the life of my remember off the top of my head.

Unfortunately I have nothing to compare these to. I know I took measurements in March 2009, but I can't find them anywhere. I wrote them down in my record shaped Link Larkin notebook, how could have I ever misplaced that?

I'm going shopping on Saturday for clothes for vacation. I am kind of weary to do so though. I don't want to lose 10 lbs and then everything be too big, but I also don't want to buy a size smaller and then not be able to fit into it. Why is this such a pain?

I also want to get a pretty dress or two to wear for the nights we go to the restaurants at the resort. I've never been a going off the resort kind of gal, mainly because I'm scared to death to be kidnapped or murdered or something. Friends of the family went away for their honeymoon and when the new husband went outside for a cigarette he was beaten within an inch of his life and mugged. So needless to say there will be no at night off resort excursions for me.

My weight has stayed steady. I didn't get a chance to walk last night, but I did crunches with CrunchFu, that thing is serious! My abs are BURNING when I'm done. I've also added some planks into my nightly routine, getting up to 5, 1 minute and 15 second planks. I just want rock hard abs! Not a 6 pack, just definition.

Alright, enough for today, hope everyone's week is going well! Happy Hump Day!

I want an iPod - I wana do CrunchFu too! lol And your resort is scaring me - you can't take pepper spray on the plane, but maybe find a shop once you get there? Just start spaying anyone who comes within 5 feet of you, and you'll be good. And as far as your shopping trip, maybe wait another 2-3 weeks, and then go - and I'll come along!

It didn't happen at this resort, and they went off property. They were in the Bahamas or Dominican Republic or something like that. It was crazy.

I think for vacation clothes just get a couple loose, long or short, cotton sundresses. They will still look good if, no WHEN, you lose more weight. You can wear over a bathing suit or put on some dangly earrings and heels for dinner. Nice work on the planks! They definitely help. Eek about getting mugged. I'm the opposite. I have never been to a resort. I love the off-the-beaten-path tropics, little out of the way places. THough I've never been to Jamaica so I can't speak for that. There has definitely been a lot of stuff going on there lately, so I don't blame you for wanting to stay in the resort.

Oh and don't worry about the old measurements. (Though I hate losing things like that, too.) Just start from here. Save them in a file on your computer you won't lose or send yourself a gmail (or email that won't get deleted). I wish I'd measured myself recently. It's great to see them change over time. Much faster than watching that scale.

GLen, I get more afraid driving in huge mall parking lots than I do walking around in the city. Especially Manhattan. There's always some store open, somewhere you can run into if you were ever threatened. I was, in fact, attacked on a beach in Fiji. I sometimes block that out of my memory. A man stood up to shake my hand. I was a little freaked but everyone I'd met was so friendly there. So I reached out to shake his hand. He stood up. Naked. He dragged me into the water. It was early and the beach was empty. Fortunately a man was cutting down coconuts and came running towards us, machete in hand. So, um, yeah, don't walk alone on the beach and don't shake strangers' hands.

Oh my Beets ... how unfortunate!!! It is always a good thing to be cautious ... doesn't mean we are unfriendly. Like my husband says ... "if you are not 'paranoid' then you aren't paying attention" ... LOL!!!

My father and mother got mugged in San Francisco a few years back. They tried to steal my mom's purse (two teenage boys). My dad (60+) fought back and ended up getting the purse back... but messed up his teeth when he got punched in the face! He had to get braces. And this was in daylight. I always have pepper spray now, b/c you just never know. I guess you can't take that on a plane... but maybe you could wrap some up in a towel or clothes and send it through w/checked baggage?
