So, the weekend is over, and I didn't do too bad! On Friday night, we went out for our 34th Monthaversary, lol! We went to a restaurant called Stacey's with another couple. My hubby planned it all on his own! It was a very nice place, but a little too pricey. It was 200 dollars for the four of us! I got a seared ahi salad with light dressing, yummy! and, as a treat, I drank a cosmo. I'm not sure how many calories it was, but I'm sure it was better than my old favorite, the Pina Colada. Afterward, we went walking downtown for about 40 minutes.
On Saturday, we went to Costco, because we wanted to buy tires for my husbands truck. We don't have a costco card, so we tried to go in the exit, because that's where the member services desk is. We told the lady at the exit that we wanted to get a card, and she said, "you can't go in this way, you have to go in the entrance." So then we went to the entrance, and told the lady there that we wanted to get a costco card. She said, "you can't come in this way unless you have a card." When we said again that we don't have a card, and would like to get one, she said again that we can't get in without a card! What sense does that make???
So my aunt recently found that she has lung cancer. I'm pretty sure I wrote about it a few weeks back. She was supposed to go in for surgery on Thursday, but a couple of hours before the operation, she found out her stepson and his cousin were in a motorcycle accident, and that her sister-in-law died in an unrelated car accident! After hearing that, she was so stressed out, the surgeon said he wouldn't do the procedure. It was rescheduled for Saturday, but then it was cancelled again because she has a heart condition and they want to make sure she is stable before cutting her open. She's getting really stressed, because she feels like the cancer is eating her, and the longer she waits, the less chance she has for recovery...We spent most of Saturday with her, and my mom, dad, and sisters were out there too. It was nice seeing everyone, but it would have been nicer under different circumstances.
Today, I have my first session with the new trainer, and then church tonight. I'll be quite tired by the time this day is over! I brought lentil soup for lunch, it's 1.5 points per serving, an orange for a snack, and plenty of water. I'm making sure to eat right along with exercise, because if I don't do both, I don't get results! Have a wonderful day everyone!
