TheChunkyOne's Journal, 10 June 2010

dont normally do 2 journal entries in one day, but today i have been inspired.
k8yk has been guiding me in my transition to vegetarianism, and i have been reading through her journal entries. She is SO inspiring! She has a picture posted, showing off her new body in a new tank top and i realized that she is in better shape than i am. She used to weigh 300 lbs, and is in better shape than me, who's highest weight was 160.
There is no way that i cant do this. If she can lose 100 lbs and look that fantastic, so can i.
I only have about 15-20 more to lose and i just have to accept that its going to take time, and i truly have to change my life.
South Beach diet has helped a ton in the food department. Even counting calories, i was eating the wrong foods. SB helped get me back on track, and k8yk has helped me realize that i am a vegetarian at heart.
You see, back when i was a 'skinny person' i ate like a skinny person. i avoided fast food, actually didnt even have an appetite for fast food. i only enjoyed sweets and treats on occassion, and had no problem with that.
Somewhere along the line, i lost that inner skinny person, but i think i finally found her again.
that is all. :D

I too find K8's site/journal inspiring...I'm seeking to return to my formerly 'effortlessly skinny n' fit' self. Currently at 160 after a few years of a lot of things that took me off track. I've been on 'vacation' (the staying home kind) for a few weeks and have been spending my time immersing myself in positive books/blogs about being healthier from the inside out. I totally believe that if I can get my head back in the right place, the rest will follow. Anyways, your comment about finding your inner vegetarian and your highest weight caught my eye - 160 is my new start and I've somehow gravitated back to an almost vegetarian diet over the last few weeks. Some fish and chicken at a few meals, but mostly I haven't been interested.
