Only I can be responsible for a lifestyle change. I must choose to use food as fuel. If I want to have an athletic body, I must choose to eat like an athlete. Help me God to eat only when I am hungry today, to stop when I am full, and to turn to you when I want to eat out of boredom.

Thanks for stopping by. I love Leslie's DVDs, and try to do them 5X week. I do other exercise as well, but she is my foundation! I have something I've found that really really helped me in the mind/body/attitude connection, and it might help you, too. There is a wonderful podcast called Inside Out Weight Loss, by Renee Stephens. Start at the beginning, and try to listen to them in a quiet (I know, hard to do with three kids!) state of mind--maybe just before sleep? Anyway, I attribute my attitude breakthrough to her--AND it was by re-listening to a few right before falling asleep. When I woke up, I felt this tremendous love and appreciation to myself for taking the time to chop vegetables and make myself healthy wholesome food instead of tossing a frozen dinner in the microwave. I felt gratitude to myself for the effort of loving me enough to do all that it takes to get myself slim and energetic again. You don't have nearly so much to lose as me, and you are much younger. BUT, if you can exorcise those voices in your head that say you don't deserve that extra time it takes to treat yourself well--if you can switch that mindset now, while you're still young, you will save yourself YEARS of self-loathing and struggle. Hugs!! And praying for your breakthrough!! (P.S. I weighed the same as you when my kids were toddlers.)
