A lot has happened...
I went to a dietitian.. her plan puzzled me a bit.. a lot of processed foods were on plan.. tostitos with refried beans, honeycomb (yes, honeycomb cereal) and some other things..
I was eating mostly all natural before but my cals were too low.. I still followed her plan which had a large increase from what I was eating.. prob due to me working out so much.. I met her Friday again and she really didn't help and didn't have a new meal plan ready.. I think I'm done with her..
I will just remain tracking cals on here... meet a 1400 goal.. eat proteins and carbs at every meal but low carbs around dinner and try not to eat after 7. Keep working with the trainer and do lots of cardio on non trainer days.
Saw the doctor yesterday.. she said I have a metabolic disorder, prob due to my past.. so she said yes, I need to increase to the 1400-1600 when I work out rather than the 1000-1200 I was eating. Also, she gave me samples of some drug to help get my metabolism going. I will see how I feel. I'm glad I'm finally getting answers though.. didn't make sense since I was literally working out more than anyone I know and watching my cals like a freaking hawk!!!!!
It will happen.

Sorry to hear about the stupid dietitian and metabolic disorder. It sucks when the people who are supposed to be "experts" turn out to know less than you do! Tostitos??? That is a very strange thing to put on a diet. I mean, I'm all for eating what you want on occasions, but chips aren't something I'd expect in a plan! Hell, I'll make you a meal plan :) I'm curious about the medication for a metabolic disorder and if it helps you. Good job not giving up in the face of frustration! Even though the scale isn't cooperating with you yet, you should be proud of yourself! You'll figure it out :)

thanks for the comment k8yk! yeah.. she thinks it's from stress and this HORRIBLE diet I went on when I was younger.. I gained weight after freshman year due to me eating tater tots, pizza, and booze.. I went from 125-145.. I went on a diet where I had barely any carbs etc. and ate about 600 cals and got injections of b12 3x a week. They would even test your pee. It was insane.. I lost it all super fast and my hair came out in clumps etc. I got to 115 and a size 0 (i had no muscle tone at all).. but that office was pushing me to be 98-108lbs.. it gave me huge image probs. I went back on it when I was 22 or 23 for a month or two.. after that, I'd be obsessed with my weight.. I spent most of my 20s thinking that I was fat and not enjoying life.. which is so sad.. I ate like a bird but then would eat CRAP when I went out w. friends... now I am 30 and gained a lot of weight very quickly.. I've been through a lot of stress and still am so my body just wasn't dropping it.. she put me on meridia.. I'm combining that with a diet between 1300-1500 cals, cardio 6x a week and weights 2-3x a week. I am proud.. I've still kept everything up even though I was frustrated.. the inside of me is healthy.. that is what counts.. but the gains are def. frustrating.. I feel like I work out more than anyone I know and watch my cals like mad! but yeah.. the dietitian has been doing it for 20+ years.. and I could understand her diet if I was a fast food addict trying to ease into eating better.. but I was eating pretty clean so I feel weird about eating so much sugar and sodium.. I will just track on here again and stay within a higher cal range than I was.. lol

the dietitian has been around for over 20yrs etc. but I didn't feel good eating like that.. if i were a fast food/junk food addict.. I'd get it.. baby steps... but I was eating all whole foods and went to that.. so I increased my cals bc I wasn't eating enough but I've been doing A LOT of exercise.. cardio 6+ days a week for min 45min.. weights was three times a week with a trainer.. but now im switching it to two.. my family dr is the one who gave me meridia since thyroid is ok.. and i wrecked my metabolism from past stuff.. she has a good reputation.

My wife is a dietitian i'll share this info ,she was outsource to treat all different kinds of conditions and she would never recommend eating a sugar filled cereal, and processed foods are not in any of her plans Good luck to you

yeah.. she said if I want something sweet to eat that. And tostitos is what got me!!!!!! Those are filled with sodium! I get having a treat once in a while.. I don't feel guilty if I have them in moderation.. but as an everyday snack?? She suggested some other sugary cereal but i can't think of what it is.. her theory is that it's calories I have to worry about.. and she said my clean eating philosophy wasn't a way of life.. and asked how it was workign for me :( My MD did a lot of tests and I am very healthy inside.. which I am thrilled about. Prob from the whole foods I was eating before and exercise is a regular and needed thing for me. Weight just wasn't dropping. I don't think my MD wants to put me on the meds long but just to help my body kick start as I've been tracking (on sparkpeople mostly then stopped) since beg of dec. with no loss...
