You are all stars....thank you so much for the motivation vibes that have been heading my way. I think it's worked. I think I turned a corner :)

yesterday I forced myself to make soup....I ate 3 cakes whilst making it which was hardly ideal, but hey I made it. I also made a WW veg and lentil curry for dinner. i'd not made it before and it was divine :) and only 5 points!!! My snacking is not quite back under control again but my main meals are which is a MAJOR step for me as it used to be the actual meals that were the main problem.

This morning I got on the scales and I am still the same as on the last weigh in, so I've not done any more damage and in the great scheme of things 2lbs isn't too bad. I came downstairs, weighed breakfast and pointed it. It felt good :) I'm on my way back ladies and thank you for helping me with my map reading :)

Yay, it's great to see that you've turned a corner... so no peaking back around it right!! lol ;o) Arghh cakes... says moi who yesterday had a rather large piece of victoria sponge cake when we were out visiting a National Trust property near us. Not sure on the points for that one... so I guess-timated and ate very low point dinner yesterday evening. So it looks like you did the same, so great work. Do you like Honeydew melon and strawberries? I've found is a great little snack and really nice together. I normally have 100g melon and 50g of strawberries for 0.5 UK points (think same for US WW points for others reading). You just keep up the pointing though and I'm sure it won't be long before those scales are heading down again. ;o)

PS - meant to also add that according to Rosemary Conley's Slimming World book mother-in-law gave me from years ago... melon and strawberries are meant to help boost weight-loss.

Wonderful! You sound like you are absolutely on the right track with healthy meals, weighing and pointing. Hip Hip Horray!

thanks all....unfortunately I ended up pigging out at pizza hut tonight and ate that much that I hurt...never mind. I'm still positive and will be weighing all the way tomorrow with home made soup for lunch and a WW risotto on the dinner horizon.

The pizza is no big deal when your mental attitude is in the right place. You have definitely turned a corner and are sure to get back to your losing ways in no time. Keep working at it!

Now didn't I tell you... no peaking back around that corner!! Aw, you know I'm only joking... never mind. Have you tried doing some exercise yet... know you mentioned a DVD previously that you were wanting to try. Just that could honestly make all the difference you know if you started doing on a regular basis. You don't necessarily need to do huge amounts either - but those additional activity points would then counteract those little splurges. Lol... I sound like a sales person here... but hopefully others will back me up here that exercise does make a difference in how much you can eat. This week exercise has really saved me from possible disaster (along with counting US points)... so in the future could do the same for you too. Remember "Weigh to go" for tomorrow right... good eating - I know you can do it. ;o)

glad you're back and trying to take the control back in your hands! Good recovery! And you must have been doing something right if you didn't gain much weight despite splurging on food while on your vacation..! Yes, I agree with Moonlite, doing even a little bit of exercise will help rev up that mental switch...once you really feel ready, you'll be able to attack this process with full gusto! In the interim, any progress is good progress--baby steps are definitely good!!
