I need some encouragement. Well, I've been bummed because this plateau seems to be lasting a bit, I keep trying to find a correlation in my chart (science major-I know I'm crazy )to when I lose weight and when I feel I do my best at the diet. Obviously those calories burned on the elliptical won't be gone tomorrow. I feel like I've been doing really well but nothing will happen. Inches don;t seem to be going away drastically either. Has anyone else noticed a delay in results? And if you all notice a delay, what is it like a week or a few days? I'm going to try some new things this week and see if the scale rewards me...I really need it. My husband wants me to buy a new pair of jeans so bad (mostly because I have one pair that fits decently and I get mad when they're dirty) but I don't want to reward myself until I see that scale move. Any ideas for mixing it up? I'm not too upset because I have been at this new lifestyle for 18 weeks now, and I've lost 20 pounds so I'm making progress and doing it healthfully at the same time. I just want to KEEP progressing. It's almost bikini weather and I;d like to reward my self with a new one (or two :P) when I've reached 140ish. Any thoughts anyone?

hey babe stop being so hard on yourself for one, that gets you know where. To your doing really great. I have noticed when I hit a plateau I just change up my excersing and diet. Like work out in the am or if you do a 1/2 hour move to 45 mins. Change machines and intensities. Also change your food intake maybe have 1200 calories one day and 1300 the next and then maybe 1100, you get the idea. It just keeps your body guessing, as long it does that it will have more trouble plateauing.
