Happy but also a little nervous..

I woke up today to find yet another weight loss (and the number was a little too incredible--I think it's a morning illusion which will level off to something more believable later in the day). But it's great news that the plateau seems to have been broken, and my metabolism has obviously increased (as there as a difference of about 2.5 pounds from my night weight to the morning one).

Now, all these are great changes, and damn it! about time!! But, this also makes me nervous, as I know I have a self-sabotage streak. Every time the weight drops, I've seen in the past that I end up doing something damaging and it'll gain back!! I really, really, want to be stronger, vigilant, and more in control this time--especially since I've been given the gift of this good news!! My prayers out to the powers that be to give me the strength to keep on progressing--not regressing!
I'm already worried that I didn't work out this morning, and overslept..but I plan on working out longer in the evening. Meals have been good so far.
More later.

Meals for the day:
Brunch (11.30 am): salad from yesterday (with fat free feta, walnuts, red kidney beans and croutons: 4 pts), 1 veggie patty (2)
Coffee with milk (.5)
Snacks:
12.30 pm: 1 tbs reduced fat peanut butter (2) and 1 celery
2.30: 1 ricecake (1)
5.00 pm: 1 ww icecream (2) and coffee with skim milk
5.30 pm: 1 wasa cracker (0.5) and hummus (1), 1/2 cup kidney beans (1)
(THat's too many snacks! Don't know why I keep grazing today!!)
Dinner: salad w/ fat free ranch dressing (1), red kidney beans 1/4 cup (.5), croutons (1), walnuts (1)
1 Healthy Choice 4 cheese manicotti (includes brocolli, but I skipped the apple cobbler) (5 pts)

10 pm snack: 1 bowl of air popped popcorn and 2 shelled peanuts (1)?

Total pts: 23.5 (Banked 1.5)

Note: Went for a brisk walk (5540 steps on my pedometer, 2.5 miles), and later did a dvd on strength training (made me sweat! And I'm sure gonna feel those lunges tomorrow)
Water intake was very good today: 3 bottles of 800 ml consumed so far.

It's pretty normal for our weight to go up during the course of the day due to the food that we've eaten. I find that weighing yourself at the same time of the day is the best indicator and usually weigh first thing in the morning when weight is normally at your lowest. Keep up the fantastic work though... it's always a great feeling to see the scales go down. :o)

Congrats on the scale moving on down for you! Don't over-analyze, just enjoy the success. Think positive thoughts (even if you don't particularly believe them!) and you will draw positive energy into your life. So leave the negative thoughts and doubts behind and look forward to your healthier future. Have a fabulous day!

I have a suggestion on the self sabotaging (sp?). I know weighing yourself everyday is addicting, I'm guilty of it myself. I don't know if this applies to you but sometimes when you see a loss you indulge a little more b/c you deserve it or you know you'll make up for it b/c you're doing great, whatever the case. Weighing yourself everyday is not a good idea. It's better to follow your diet/exercise routine and weigh yourself weekly or monthly. Hope this makes sense, it sounded better when Oprah said it. Lol.
