oliversgoldfish's Journal, 03 March 2008

Well, good old Aunt Flo has finally arrived and this weekend has been a total washout in terms of points...not least in that I haven't tracked. This is lethal ground for me and I HAVE to turn it around before it all goes wrong.....

It's strange how the simplest things can affect what you do...in this case, not having the free tracker from my meeting has stopped me tracking. It's madness. I had made a tracker on the computer and it's up there on the fridge where the other one was but I haven't made enough room in the columns and I'm not using it...how stupid??!!!! Plus, that Indian on Saturday, for mothers day, we finished off the leftovers last night and I have no idea how to point it at all! TOnight we have some leftover pizza hut pizza from dh's trip there with his mum yesterday - I've bought some salad to have with that so hopefully I can find the points of a slice of pizza hut pizza somewhere......I really need to get tracking properly again!

Tomorrow is weigh in day and I'm not sure what to expect....I feel so bloated anyway that I'm thinking it will be a gain. I'm hoping that is all water though and that by next week I'll be looking at a good loss. I've done the shopping this morning and have everything planned out so no excuses!!

I wish the food tracker on fs could work out points! That would be fantastic!

Have a good day all! :)

you can go to the following website to find the nutrition info on all kinds of brand name and restrant foods and you can use your points finder to get the points. You can look up that pizza hut pizza. http://www.calorieking.com/ Also, if you need a place to calculate points, the following is a link to an online points calculator. good luck http://home.comcast.net/~kreider/Points.htm

Don't let the off track eating of the weekend ruin your resolve. The damage done over two days is limited and easily overcome as long as you don't let it get to you and allow yourself to give up. As for tracking your points, I use my journal on here to track my points. I've never used the diet calendar because it was too tedious. I come back and edit my journal several times throughout the day to input my food data and at the end of the day I total everything up. If you need to have something in your kitchen, you don't need fancy printouts. A pad and paper are all you need. It's just a matter of writing it down. If you need help figuring out the points, there are lots of free sites on the net that have list of common foods and their points. You could easily print a list out and keep it in the kitchen for easy reference. Plus, as michbe1 said, there are on free online points calculators, too for calculating points for any packaged items or recipes that contain the nutritional info. You can do this. If you need some links for any of the things I mentioned, just send me a message and I will be happy to supply them for you (there's no link button in this journal comment function, unfortunately). Chin up! Today is a new day. Start fresh.

Thank you SO much - that will be a huge help!!! I just realised the food diary here does try to work out the points of things too - I hadn't noticed that before. I've been tracking all day today so I'm back on the right track! I'm off to look up at that pizza for tonight!

You can get back on track! This weekend was just a bump in the road, there is always going to be bumps. I found the best thing to do is realize quickly what I did, start fresh with no looking back- it's the guilt that gets me. I also found out that in the food diary it shows points. Once you click view details on the food you have chosen look on the bottom right side it will show points. This has helped for me. You got this!!! Have a great new day!

We all have those 'speed bumps' and by the sounds of it you're well on your way to flying over those! Keep on trackin' and drinking your water and you'll be just 'peachy keen'! Hugs!
