I am reading Oprah's book club book, A New Earth, Awakening to your life's Purpose. It says to become aware of your thoughts and emotions so they don't control you. I am applying it to my snacking. As soon as I eat my meal, my thoughts flash the names of my fave desserts and my emotions are anxiety, etc. By seeing the thoughts and emotions for what they are, not my One Presence in the Universe, not my focusing on my breathing and getting in touch with my body, but my ego which is upset, angry, hurt, sad or fearful and will try its best to have its way, then I can take control again and calm down and not eat desserts.
