Taco Bake

Great taco bake that you can serve with additional toppings like shredded lettuce, jalapenos, guacamole, ripe olives, sour cream or salsa.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. For the crust, beat the cream cheese and eggs until smooth.
  2. Add the cream and 1/2 teaspoon taco seasoning.
  3. Grease a 9"x13" baking dish; spread half the cheese over the bottom.
  4. Pour in the egg mixture as evenly as possible. Bake at 375° F (190° C) , 25-30 minutes. Let stand 5 minutes before adding the topping.
  5. For the topping, brown the hamburger; drain fat.
  6. Stir in the tomato sauce, chiles, and 3 teaspoons taco seasoning. Spread over the crust and top with remaining cheese.
  7. Reduce oven to 350° F (175° C) and bake another 20 minutes or so until hot and bubbly. Serve with the toppings of your choice (add additional carbs).
  8. Note: based on recipe from recipeczar.

Love the dish!! I made a mistake not going over the ingredients and the directions twice.I noticed after the fact that I put teaspoon of 3.5 taco seasoning instead of 3.5 tablespoon. need to fix! Altho, the mistake was made. Everyone loved the dish, it was a hit!!!

This is an awesome dish, and it has good flavor. It is also a dish that allows for some different options. My only regret is that the serving portions are just a bit small so I have to have two to fill me up. Which of course doubles the carbs.

Instant family favorite! I made it last night and have invited over a friends family for dinner Sunday so I can make it again. So good! I froze a few so hopefully it'll be ok unfreezing because I plan to make freexzer dinners for later next time too.

Great recipe. I made a few substitutions - added onion to hamburger and used green enchilada sauce in place of green chilies and tomato sauce - amazing!
