Smothered Pork Chops

Fried pork chops covered with pepper gravy.



  1. Sprinkle both sides of chops with 1/2 tsp of poultry seasoning, 1/4 tsp salt, and 1/8 tsp pepper.
  2. Combine flour, remaining 1/2 tsp of poultry seasoning, remaining salt and pepper in a shallow dish. Dredge pork chops in flour mixture, reserving remaining flour mixture.
  3. Heat oil in a large non-stick skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Add pork chops and cook 5 minutes on each side or until done; transfer to a serving platter, and keep warm.
  5. Combine remaining flour mixture and milk in a bowl, stirring with a whisk. Add to pan; bring mixture to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring constantly with whisk.
  6. Reduce heat; simmer 1-2 minutes or until gravy is thickened, stirring constantly with a whisk.
  7. Serve 1/4 cup gravy over 1 pork chop.

This is a delicious dish. Weight Watchers point value of 4. I like this dish with mash potatoes.

This made this fluffy southern boy very happy. The little lady says she is going to get some more pork chops for me to cook again. In the words of Cuzzin Eddie (National Lampoon Vacation Movies), "it was YUMMY"!
