Shrimp with Green Beans

Spicy green beans and shrimp with lime.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. In medium bowl pour olive oil, salt, red pepper flakes, cilantro, juice from 1 lime, red onion, and 3 cloves of garlic, mix well.
  2. Clean, peel, and devein shrimp; place in premade mixture, marinate for 15-20 minutes.
  3. Wash and trim green beans. Place in steamer, steam on low for 10 minutes. Remove from steamer and place to the side.
  4. Chop almonds into small pieces and place in a medium skillet. Heat until golden add 1tbs olive oil, garlic, green beans, and red pepper flake, heat through and toss. Place on serving platter.
  5. Add shrimp to skillet over low-medium heat cook until pink. Pour cooked shrimp over green beans. Squeeze juice from 1 lime over top.

I loved this. i left out the nuts, added a bit more lime and a jar of chopped greeen chillis. Served it with whole wheat pasta and it was great.

this was excellent. i used 2 tsp red pepper flakes in marinade and added only 1/2 tsp to green beans. i served with/over brown rice pilaf. will definitely make again!

Loved it, loved it, loved it! Perfect summer dish. Try and serve it cold!
