Sauteed Green Beans with Walnuts & Garlic
Green beans sauteed with bacon bits, walnuts and garlic.
Ingredients
Directions
- Put olive oil in sauté pan and add in walnuts and garlic. Turn on medium-high and sauté for a couple of minutes.
- Add in the green beans and cook on medium-high to high heat for 5-6 minutes. Continuously stir.
- After 5-6 minutes of cooking, add in bacon bits and cook an additional 2 minutes.
- Add salt and pepper to taste.

You can also use more green beans and keep the olive oil, bacon bits and walnuts the same if you need more quantity or want less fat per serving. -AggieChris

I cooked up a couple pieces of turkey bacon and crumbled them for my bacon bits. Unfortunately, the walnuts and garlic got really burned. Even if you stir continuously they sit on the bottom of the pan. Next time I will wait and add them for the last minute or two of cooking the green beans so they are nicely toasted. Will definitely give it another try.
