Pear Upside-Down Cherry-Almond Cake
Fresh pears and a cherry-almond cake pair up for a moist cake and tasty treat.
Ingredients
Directions
- Pre-heat oven to 375 °F (190 °C).
- Spray cake pan with non-stick spray and add margarine. Put in preheating oven until margarine melt.
- Remove from oven and sprinkle brown sugar evenly over the bottom.
- Cut thin slices of pear and arrange at bottom of cake pan.
- Mix remainder of ingredients starting with dry and adding wet last.
- Mix until combined and pour on top of pears in cake pan.
- Bake 35-40 minutes, until toothpick comes out clean.
- Let cake cool in pan 10 minutes, then invert onto cake plate.

Cake was OK. Not really moist and terribly hard, not soft as a cake should be. Won't be making it again. Sorry. Great idea but doesn't cut it.
