Parmesan Chips

Crunchy chips that are great as a snack or tossed into a salad for a little extra crunch.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Heat an 8" sauté pan over medium heat.
  2. Sprinkle half the cheese evenly in the pan forming a "pancake".
  3. Leave the "pancake" 2 to 3 minutes until melted and flip with a spatula.
  4. Brown the second side.
  5. Remove from pan to cutting board.
  6. While still warm cut into triangles with a pizza cutter or sharp knife.
  7. Repeat with remaining cheese.

Like everyone else, I used shredded cheese. I went with Weight Watchers Four Cheese blend. It's about 550 calories per bag. I put the whole bag on a tray and baked it in the toaster oven at 400 degrees for 10 minutes and then toasted it in the toaster oven at 350 degrees for 10 minutes. It was the perfect blend of chewy and crunchy. I let it cool and then easily scooped it off the tray and cut into little bit sized pieces. Great hit!

These are a great snack, but not too filling. I used shredded parmesan cheese instead of grated and it was soo much better. My husband loved it!

Nice snack or crunch for a dish but can be addictive!

these are great but it's very hard to stick with just one serving!

They're very good but be careful not too burn them; they cook very fast. I burnt my first one, but the second one was delish! The other bad thing is that it takes quite a bit a cheese to make a few 3" "pancakes". Still great though if you are craving something like cheese nips.
