Hello my name is Cheri and I am 39 yrs old and a divorced mother of 6 children 3 of which are ADHD. My youngest with ADHD is undergoing evaluation for Autism (asburgers syndrome). I am a young Grandma to an 8mo old little girl as well. I am a School Bus Driver/Trainer so I work full time. My life consists of working and taking care of my children to the point that I don't take care of myself at times. I now have several health issues that need to be addressed ASAP so here I am ready to take the bull by the horns. My weight has always been an issue for me. When I was in high school I was about wearing a 16/18 and was close to 200lbs. After three children I was up to almost 250lbs then lost down to about 220 lbs. I then had child number four and went right back to the 250lb weight range. Approx. two years later I was diagnosed with Hypothyroidism and became pregnant with child number five and after he was born I stayed in the 260/270lb range. After my divorce I bloomed a bit up to 280's and then married again. After child number six was born I was still in the 280's and lost down to the 230/240 range. Since then I have gained slowly up to the 280/290 range until 2008. We found out in August 2008 that my oldest sons baby was going to be born with HLHS (Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome) which means basically born with half a heart. The stress of being a divorced mom of six with the issues they have then a young Grandma with the baby having a life threatening heart defect sent my depression into overdrive. She has already had nine or ten surgeries, two of which were major open heart reconstruction surgeries to help make the right side of her heart do the job of both sides. She will need a heart transplant before she is an adult. Anyway I have quickly jumped from the 280/290's to 316lbs over the last eight or nine months. I have recently been diagnosed with sleep apnea on top of everything else I have and I must take control of my weight. Wish me luck!
