I became a first-time mom at age 43 and have had an extremely hard time losing the weight. I was diagnosed with a-fib after having her so the exercise has been a lot less than I normally would do. I have to work and build my exercise level back up, which is happening slowly but surely.
I just started Atkins and have lost 8 pounds so far. Hopefully I can keep up a decent momentum and be at a much healthier weight by next year.
I am a stay-at-home mom after leaving my HR job after 14 years. It has been totally worth it. I love getting to spend time with my daughter, even after a morning where she has dumped her breakfast on her head and emptied a drawer of clothing as I type this. :)
