Losing Weight After Quitting Smoking
I have been a "non-smoker" for approximately 2 1/2 months, and I've gained 10 lbs. I was already 20 lbs above my goal weight, but now....at 30 lbs above my goal weight, I'm miserable. Normally, it's fairly easy for me to lose weight. Stop drinking sodas and beer, eat whole grains rather than white bread, and exercise 2 times a week. However, this time, it isn't working. I am determined to get this 30 lbs off by my 26th Birthday in February. I'm just looking for some advice from someone who has dealt with weigh gain after quitting smoking. January 2nd, I'm beginning a diet of 1150 calories per day, and 1 hour of exercise 4 days per week. I'm hoping this will make it happen in the 5 weeks I have.

New here
Welcome. I am new also, but I'm already feeling really encouraged. I've been dieting for 2 days...just watching what I eat, and trying to add exercise to my daily routine. Are you planning to follow a particular diet?
