I've been at this weight loss game a long time. I first began in Mar 2001. I got down to my goal weight, by watching my portions and walking like crazy, and than I stayed there for about three years. But over the last year I have let the weight creep back on [well I'm not sure creep is the right word...bulldoze it way back might be more truthful]. It seems that I need to get myself a new start and thought this is a good place to that.
I'm a wife and mother of two sons, who have both left for college this year. The hubby is very over weight himself, but he isn't ready to do anything about it yet [my fingers will stay crossed]. Besides helping him run his construction business, I am a writer and photographer, and well as an avid genealogist. Over the years [since 2001] I have become long distance walker; I ride horse back, cross country ski, snow shoe, and in the summers kayak and hike. Since one of my sons goes to a school that requires me to get on an airplane I have this year learned to love to fly.
