I joined the gym in 2008 with the intention of losing weight - I wasn't at my highest weight (it was probably 2003-2005 where I had to have been close to 300 lbs), but I believe I started out at almost 260 lbs. I paid a lot of money with the intention of doing personal training sessions, but I was too embarrassed to show my body at the gym. I wasn't the most active person, but I was by all means not a lazy person. I did not take the weight loss seriously enough because over the years whenever I had a gout attack it gave me a reason to not go to the gym. As the years passed by I converted the money in the account dedicated to personal training sessions to renew my gym membership. At the end of 2010 I finally decided that enough was enough and decided to go on medication to get the gout under control. One thing down, and the next was the exercising. In 2011 I decided to put my foot down and again say enough is enough and decided to do a personal training session. Twenty-something sessions later, I'm feeling great about exercising. My trainers give me the motivation to continue, however there is one last remaining demon that's keeping me from losing the weight: the diet. So I hope that FatSecret will help me realize what I should be doing with regards to eating. Wish me luck!!!
