I'm 25 years old and have been over weight my entire life...but I have never been as over weight as I am now. So I've decided that this is my time to finally get healthy. No more excuses, no more procrastination. I don't want to "diet", I want to make healthier choices when it comes to food and exercise.
I recently had an odd overwhelming rush of motivation. I felt a little out of sorts and didn't know what to do with this motivation so...I quit smoking. Just decided I was done and stopped. I was surprised at how easy it was, I went from a pack a day to nothing. After I accomplished that I was still motivated so I decided to run with it and just try to start working out. I struggled for a bit but finally settled into a routine that worked for me. Once I figured out the exercise part I decided to focus on the food part of my new life. So far its going pretty good!
I'm trying to just be a little more aware of what I put into my body. For so long I just ate and ate and ate. Not because I was hungry and not because I even really wanted what I was eating. I no longer want to eat for comfort, now I want to eat for nourishment (with an occasional treat so I don't freak out and eat a whole cake!)
