Help with advice about fitness equipment
I have exercised for a number of years, but never made the commitment to purchase a membership to the gym or a piece of equipment I could use at home. I have counted mostly on exercises that I learned in the military and running on a regular basis to help maintain my weight and overall health. There are times that a run in the morning is fantastic, but there are other times of the year that exercising outside is a real struggle and pain. The summer months can be incredibly hot, and the winter months can be excruciatingly cold.

The spring and autumn months can be great for running and push-ups. I love the smell of the morning air, as well as the beauty of the plants. The spring is fantastic to see the new growth while I love the changing colors in the autumn. Regardless, this year has led me to a point that I want to change things around a bit. I intend on adding a variety of exercises to my routine, and I want to avoid having to count on great weather in order to keep a regular routine, as well. This has me considering a variety of different machines and equipment.

I don't always have the ability to go to the gym on a regular basis. Sometimes the demands on my time makes it so I have to get a quick workout in before my day begins. Having equipment in my home seems to be the best option for me. This would allow me to grab a quick workout while also being able to avoid frigid mornings or scorching heat. This has me hunting the internet for different options, and I am blown away by the number of machines and equipment that is available on the market. There is a machine for every muscle group and nearly any exercise one could possibly imagine or desire to do.

I began my hunt in the search engines and found a number of websites covering anything I could think of. There is information on exercise routines, as well as the different pieces of equipment available. As is typical for me I found myself on Wikipedia. I found this page http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fitness_equipment that discusses fitness equipment in general, but has links to a variety of other pages that cover other aspects of exercise and working out. Even Bow Flex has it's own page on the website which wasn't particularly a surprise for me to discover.

I came across a ton of other websites, as well. I probably spent hours hunting for information about different options that are available for me to get a full workout by using equipment. The biggest problem I discovered is that most equipment seems to be focused on a particular group of muscles or exercises. I don't have a ton of space so setting up an entire fitness center in my home just isn't a feasible idea for me. I also don't want to spend tens of thousands of dollars on purchasing a number of pieces of equipment. I came across http://www.gymsource.com/ which offered a variety of articles and information on the topic of fitness equipment and exercises. I found this website to be incredibly informative and have considered purchasing some equipment from them.

I feel that my main focus will be on a piece of equipment that focuses on cardiovascular exercises instead of weights or building my muscle. My question is what the advantages, or disadvantages of the different equipment could possibly be. There are bikes, treadmills, elliptical machines, home gyms, and various others. I know that each has its own advantages and disadvantages. For example treadmills are considered to be harder on the joints than an elliptical machine. This is where you folks come in and hopefully help guide me in the right direction.

My focus is to increase my stamina and energy levels. I don't care about building muscle or anything like that, but I do want to help improve my health while also helping to maintain my weight. What are the major differences between the different machines I mentioned, and what recommendations would you offer for someone like myself who is looking to make my first purchase? I already run 2 or 3 miles a day several times a week. Will any of these machines allow me to get the same degree of workout, and possibly in less time? Are some machines better for cardiovascular than others? Obviously some machines are better on my body than others, but what other major differences are there between these different types of machines? I could use some guidance and advice in terms of which machines to look at and I appreciate all of your help ahead of time.

How Do You Keep Yourself Motivated?
It is hard to keep up with an exercise routine. Waking up early for a morning jog can be a bummer. My motivation to keep up with my own exercise routine are Youtube videos. There are many motivational videos on losing weight and keeping yourself fit. Also, you can have a jogging buddy to accompany you. Together, you can lose the extra pounds in your body. You can also read books about healthy living to keep you motivated. Just keep in mind your goal and everything will follow. Good results await you after all the hard work you have to put into it, but the result will make all that time and energy well worth the investment.

Keep it simple
It is hard losing weight especially if you are not discipline at what you eat. Try to keep a balanced meal. I think it is good to have a very simple diet plan for each meal like having cereal in the morning, vegetable, meat and rice for lunch and soup for dinner. As long as you do not over eat, I think you can lose more weight in the process. Of course, you have to exercise daily to keep yourself fit.  It just makes life easier and less stressful to not even have to think about it. It's all about eating mindfully.

Real Women, Real Bodies
Society as much as we can deny it has set a certain standard defining beauty. We have this stupid mindset of beauty; you must be fairer and thinner to be defined as beautiful. I do not think that beauty must be any of this. Shapes and size matter less. I am not surprised if some girls develop eating disorders like bulimia and anorexia. Commercials and false advertising set a bad example to anyone seeing them. There are a number of amazing websites including this one that offer empowerment to women of different shapes and sizes. I think women must be more confident even if they are not size zero.

Organic Vs. Non-Organic
Organic foods are better from non-organic. If you are an avid vegetable and fruit juicer, it could be very expensive. Aside from being healthier, organic foods have better quality ingredients. Non organic or processed foods are full of sugar, artificial taste, chemicals and etc. People tend to buy non organic since it is cheaper than the organic. Organic foods mean pesticide free. It does not have the chemicals we find in most processed food in the market. Maybe if you buy directly from farmers, they may give you vegetables and fruits for a cheaper price. It is guaranteed fresh and healthy.
