performance: losing 0.5 lb a week

I am a 34 yr old mom of 4. I found FS on my BB as an app. I've never done well with diets bcs I hate being told what to eat. I've tried LA Weight Loss but I felt I was constantly thinking about food. Like I was consumed with what I needed to eat next. I've been logging my calories with FS since March 24th and have lost 8 lbs so far. I think this will be it for me. I like seeing that when I am negative 3500 calories, I know I will be down 1 lb on the scale and its been right every time thus far. My only concern is not taking the time to log my food when summer hits.

Does anyone know how menopause effects weight?
I had a hysterectomy in 2005(28 yrs old) and they left my ovaries. Ovaries stopped working properly and was thrown into peri-menopause. Im not gonna lie, its was tough for about 3 years.. I gained 15 lbs, hot flashes, mood swings, etc... Then I found out that I was allergic to a TON of food and once I eliminated those foods from my diet, my perimenopause symptoms subsided..but still there. Everyone is different, your ovaries may pick up where they left off. I had a hysterectomy because of endometriosis and adinomyosis so having my uterus removed was the BEST thing I could have done for my quality of life. Fanning myself in the middle of winter is well worth it in the long run. The obvious difference between you and I is that you are already trying to make good choices in how and what you eat. Oh and medication is a goood thing for you and your family (lol)!!
