I currently weigh 233. I eat out of stress, and occasionally, boredom. I also love bread and pasta. I need a diet that still contains some of those ingredients, or I will certainly fail. My goal is 35-40 pounds of weight loss. I can't seem to lose any, even maintaining a maximum caloric intake of 2200. I will have to push myself to exercise more.

Want to lose weight but don't know what to eat
In my opinion, you can eat ANYTHING you want. You can only eat small portions of it. Don't drop your favorite foods from your diet, or you will not stick with it. Just eat smaller portions. Use the calorie counter on this site and be honest with it. You will soon see just how much you eat and once you curtail, you will see results. Good luck.

I am looking for an inexpensive but accurate scale for my home. What is best? Digital or Needle style? Any particular brand? Any help appreciated.
