Hi Everyone! Just thought I'd drop a little info on myself since I read everyone else's bios. I'm Tisha, I'm an RN in a NICU in Philadelphia, PA, just turned 30 in September (that's when I started LAWL)...I knew it was time for a change.... this was my highest weight ever! I'm coming up on my one year wedding anniversary (2/17/07)...can't believe a year has gone by! I'm looking to lose the extra baggage... and hoping to start a family in 2008!!! My husband is very supportive... fortunate for him he's never had a weight issue....5'10" 160# soaking wet...lucky!!!I'm hoping our kids will have his metabolism!!!! You are all a wonderful breath of fresh air!! I look forward to reading what's new with everyone and how they are progressing with their diets. Happy New Year to all!!! Here's to a happy and healthy 2008!!! Tisha

Take Off Juice Substitute....
Thanks for the info on the other way you can do the Take Off for 2 days... I'm gonna try that way next time. I've done it with pork before...no wonder I would only lose a pound or two with the Take Off.
Thanks for the tips!

When to switch plans?
Oh, forgot to ask... they gave me the GOLD plan for when I hit 190lbs. My center closed on Jan 4... and they were very nice to give me the rest of the plans to follow. Then i think it was a GREEN plan... when you hit 140lbs (i think it was 140).

When to switch plans?
Hi JerseyGirl. I'm doing the PURPLE plan now... I started back in September.. mine is a little different.

2 protein, 1 fat, 1 dairy, 4 veggies and 3 fruit and 2 la lites.

it's a lot of food... but with the fruit option I'll drink a few ounces of a 100% juice..no sugar added. Like the "take-off" juice substitute I found in stores.

I don't feel hungry on my plan.. my biggest downfall is getting motivated to exercise!!

good luck to you!!!
are you in NJ? I'm in the Philly area...but go to the jersey shore a lot in the summer.

Take Off Juice Substitute....
LAWL says you can do it every 2 weeks. It's for 2 days... and there's 2 different ways you can do it... #1) Limited to 6oz protein for the day!! (they told me I could do 8oz because I had more weight to lose). You can do chicken, beef, egg whites...just break it up into 2-3oz per serving (it sucks..because I always felt hungry!!) in between meals you do your LA lites (or I substitute with Special K or Luna bars). And you're supposed to drink the "Take Off" Juice. LAWL's juice has to be reconstituted... but you drink 32oz in one day.. and 32oz they next...plus ALL of your water requirements!!! Oh, and you're allowed some green veggies with protein...like 1/2 cup cooked broccoli...or 3 ribs of celery. It does suck...but they say it can keep you on track. And the juice works like a diuretic...so you lose a few water-weight pounds.
#2--this one I've never did...but I should try it. Unlimited protein...not sure if you're allowed green veggies or not.... but definitely NO LA LITES or substituted protein bars. But you do the juice and your water requirements.
Good Luck!
This website is great for keeping you motivated!!!

Take Off Juice Substitute....
I found out a few months ago that there's a natural whole food company called... R.W.Knudsen...they make 100% juices... no sugar added... they have one called Morning Blend... it looks like, tastes like and the ingredients are practically identical to the LA Weight Loss Take Off Juice. I've done it several times... and it works just like the LAWL juice!!! And the great thing about it is.... it's cheaper!!! Average price... $2.83-$3.79 per bottle (compared to $20-25 @ center)... you don't have to reconstitute it either. I've seen it at Whole Foods, Giant Food Stores and Genaurdi's.... just check your local grocery stores in the natural/organic area to see if they have it. I've tried a different kind of juice from that company for take-off... it had a mango taste.... delicious!!! Give it a try... you have nothing to lose but the pounds!!!
