The downside of quitting cigarettes
I find that raw snap peas are great for this. When I need the whole hand-to-mouth thing, I just eat snap peas until it goes away.

It makes you feel full too. And your body probably uses about the same amount of calories as is in them to digest the things.

strict budget and healthy food
You can always add in TVP. And edimame (not sure how to spell it) is awsome for protein too. When I was in the states I used to carry a sack of those in my pack in case I got hungry. And if you want to, protein powders can be cheap if you buy them from the right places, don't bother with the expensive stuff.

Rolled oats are super cheap, but low on protein.

Ideally you need to find a co-op with wholesale dispensers, if you havnt found one yet.

Silly Question.. how skinny is too skinny?
There's no way for us to give you a good answer without a current picture.

People always tell me that I dont have much fat, but I still see myself as overweight by a good 5-10 lbs.

But its important to remember that being super skinny with no muscle tone doesn't look good either. There is always another option rather than just loosing weight, and thats going to the gym and hitting the weights and changing the shape of your body, rather than making it smaller.

HCG starvation diet or even death diet
I didn't read this thread thoroughly, but I hope that someone mentioned HCG's supressive effect on the male HPTA axis and the risk associated with a testosterone shutdown. If you are going to use HCG, I'd say just man up and go for some good old testosterone injections instead. You really might as well.

leg cramps!
Yea lowering your artificial sugar intake is a very good idea.

I non-technical terms- The body tastes the sweets and is expecting the blood sugar spike, and it never comes. They have definately been shown to decrease blood sugar, thus increasing hunger, I suspect by causing the body to release insulin.

And yea, salt and a good multi-vit for the cramps.
