Hi all. I'm back! It was a great trip, very relaxing. I sprained my knee and am now walking with a cane so that was a bummer. Trying to stay off of it enough to heal but it's hard. So much to make up! Jet lag is a killer. I fall asleep @ 8 and get up @ 4am! Missed my Buddies. Glad to be back to FS! :)

this will be my last journal for probably 3 weeks as I have already said I will be on a trip with little internet access. I had a little snag last week, sprained my knee. I got so behind with trip preparations and now am stressing like crazy. What can you do? I bought a cane for the long walks through the airports. I'm beginning to feel like a real old lady. somebody find me a rocking chair, jeez!

Hello all,
I just turned in my tax stuff so I'm feeling a bit giddy at the moment. It was particularly harrowing this year and was weighing on my mind for quite a while. ( yes I am the Queen of procrastination) I wanted to fill you all in on what's going on around here so that when I disappear for 2 and a half weeks you won't wonder what happened to me. I know that some of you actually will wonder and I thank you for that. :)
I am leaving on a trip to a place with very little access to internet and no phone. In other words A Real Vacation! Prepping to go and catching up after I return is almost enough work to keep me at home, but no, it's not going to stop me! As far as food goes, well the good news is there is very rarely dessert there and the bad news is there is lots of made-fresh-daily bread and buttery white rice. I am going to attempt to eat "intuitively". For pity's sake, I should know how many calories are in most foods and what I should stay away from. I've been playing this diet game most of my life. As a curiosity, and because I'm a closet masochist, I will weigh before I leave and when I get back. Will I ever be free of that darn scale?
So next week I will be going. I will miss you Buddies, and look forward to catching up with you after I get back in April. Take care all. Teri

I had a very good weekend. I even went hiking, which is not something I normally do. My husband and I are going to visit his relatives in a couple weeks so we went out shopping for that, always an adventure. Last night he thought he had a cold but it turned out to be allergies, thank goodness. We can't afford to be sick right now. Who can, right? There's lots to do in the next two weeks, feels a little overwhelming, but one day at a time, one chore at a time, then soon I'll be done! Have a great day everyone.
