I'm a 47 year old mom of 4 girls (26, 24, 19 and 18). I work as a Youth Minister and have been surrounded by the ever present youth ministry diet of pizza, pop, and chips! This has taken it's toll over the past 15 years and now that I topped out over 200lbs, I've decided it's time to get healthy. My BP is high and I'm on meds for that and anxiety/depression. I want OFF! This sedentary lifestyle and trips through the fast-food lane (otherwise known as "Mom's kitchen") has ended!!
My sister lost over 40lbs 5years ago on Atkins/low carb WOE and has kept it off. She is my inspiration and I can't wait to surprise her when I make the change for the better!!! My husband is a Type-I Insulin Dependent Diabetic and I hope that changing my WOE will rub off on him too!
