IT professional living in Pittsburgh. Realized about a year ago that I needed to make a big change after smoking for 8 years and weighing in on the scale at around 270 pounds. A very good friend of mine almost lost his life during that time because he followed the same "diet" and smoking routine I did.
Started with quitting smoking but my weight jumped up so I decided I needed to add in a lot of exercise. After a few months I started to notice I was able run pretty well on the treadmill and became addicted. I'm now over a year smoke free and lost almost 70 pounds. I train for and participate in multiple races a year. My original goal was 198 but I'm looking more towards the line of 185 now.

Now living in Portland, ME. Still run, just not as much. Lifting much more and interested in the science behind muscle growth. Lover of all things beer, newly into photography, and a big time nerd.
