I was always a size 2/4 until 2001 when I was hit by a car and dragged. I was flat on my back for about 6 months with broken ribs, arm, hand, writst, collar bone and hip. Due to my inactivity I gained 60 pounds and have only lost 20. I am giving Atkins a re-try as I have been on it before and it worked well for me. My challenge is eating in the evening. I have given myself 2 months to get down to my goal of 135.

Hello All - looking for buddies too
I am in Texas have been on fat secret for about a week after it was recommended by someone on the Atkins website. I started at 172 I am at 162 a week later and feel pretty good about it. I feel like I should start exercising but have absolutely no motivation. If there is anyone in Wimberley wanting to walk....well I need a buddy or I won't do it.

Paleo vs Atkins
Paleo includes fruits which doesn't happen on Atkins and raw foods. I wasn't able to lose on Paleo. Ive been on Atkins for 7 days and am down 10 lbs, which I think beats the Paleo any day of the week. I also push the water. If I am hungry at a time I shouldn't be eating I drink water. It also helps move waste through the body. Yesterday I was out all day and had a Atkins chocolate shake for breakfast ad lunch and a bar for dinner and snack. It was the first time I lost no weight at all as I am sure I overdid the snack things. I usually reserve those for the evenings when I crave something sweet.
