Anybody in Africa??
you guys are spot on - i just need to be self-motivating! time to get that exercise ball out Smile @Ebony. you are so right about the organic options - everything just IS organic, even though it doesn't have the label. I'm actually going shopping in our nearest town tomorrow (about 1.5 hours drive) and there's an amazing market there where i'm going to stock up on cauliflower and avos! There's another girl who runs the lodge about 5km from us but she's on holiday until the 18th and before she left we tried to do some stuff together, so when she comes back we're getting back on the bikes...and swimming...and other stuff Smile
@bizzy. I didn't realize there were workouts on YouTube - AWESOME! Now I just have to hope my internet connection holds up haha... Hey, you should definitely come and visit someday - it's more than possible even not using a travel agent (better, in fact) and you also have the US$ - great exchange rate all over the place! Malawi is so beautiful too - you should come check it out...keep that promise Smile

Anybody in Africa??
Hullooo! Yay, I am truly happy to hear from you - and you're right, this site makes everything so much easier. The last time I tried Atkins (only 2.5 months ago) I obviously wasn't doing it accurately which is why I stuck at 75kg the whole time. Now, I'm seeing the error of my ways when I use the food diary. Love love love it!
So we're on a similar track I see - although I need to lose a bit more than you. Well done you on being pretty much halfway! I hope the second half is easy SmileI have GOT to lose everything by the end of Jan so I can fit into my maid of honour dress at my best friend's wedding. She's flying to South Africa from California to marry her American guy and we haven't seen each other in 5 years, so I don't want to look like a frump for this special day! And, of course, for the rest of my life!
Where are you in the States? I am so jealous of all the low-carb options you have there. I have looked at a few online stores but it costs ridiculous amounts to get them sent to me, and I don't even know if I'd get it with the dodgy customs guys here.
I think that's why I fell off the wagon last time - too little options of things to eat. But yesterday I almost cried when I saw the pizza recipe on "yourlighterside" blog - pizza made from cauliflower?! Now that I can find here! Actually, she makes so many things from Cauliflower - and everyone says they taste unbelievable. Have you seen that blog? Just fabulous - I think it's gonna be my saviour Smile
Anyhow, best I go before the power goes out again - it's rainy season here and the incredible storms knock the power out frequently.
Have a super day(or night)! Smile Lauren

hullo! I'm preferably looking for a buddy who is weighing in KG. I am 30 and need to lose 12 kg. I live in Malawi, so if there's anybody living somewhere similar to me with the same challenges (no gym, no low-carb aisle in the supermarket, hardly anything in the supermarket...) that would be awesome! If not, I welcome anyone who'd like to be a buddy with someone who doesn't have any other buddies out here! Smile Thanks a bajillion, Lauren
