Frustrated
That BMI chart is so rediculous it really is I know what you mean, it basically says i'm borderline overweight. I'm sorry but I'm not a twig but I'm also definatley not overweight so I feel your pain on that issue.

I do both cardio and weight train. I do about 30 min HIIT on the elliptical, I have bad knees and ankles so i try to stay off the treadmill unless its for uphill walking. I've only been doing the HIIT for about a month though so maybe that'll help. I appreciate all your ideas tho Smile

I have had a blood test to check my thyroid, i'm waiting on the results. To answer #2: i do not wiegh portions, but i do beleive my portion sizes are small enough, i'm not a big eater, never have been. My average lunch consists of one turkey breast sandwhich on 12 grain bread with mustard and my average dinner consists of 1 chicken breast with a handful of mini potatoes and about 2 cups of broccoli. I eat every 2 hours, or my blood sugar drops to an uncomfortable level. Snacks usually are a few pieces of marble cheese, pro-biotic yogurt or fruit. I never skip breakfast.

#3 I do beleive i have gained muscle do to the stretch marks that are fresh, and I've never really been a scale watcher, i was a serious athlete in high school playing soccer and rugby therefore i was always "heavy" (5'8 and 145 lbs now i'm 162 lbs) due to the amount of muscle i had. It's my midsection that is giving me problems I'm not shaving off any "flab" my clothes dont fit any better than they did 6 months ago, and that is why i'm frustrated.

I'm new to this and have always been pretty much against tracking consistently what I eat and do, but after 6-8 months of exercising 3-4 days a week for an hour at the gym, and severely changing the way i eat, and STILL not seeing any results except for hideous stretch marks on my thighs I've decided to start logging what I'm doing. So my first two logs proved that I'm only eating about 1500-1800 calories, and I burn over 2000, So i don't get it! They say to lose weight you're supposed to have a calorie deficit, and i really can't eat less because i would starve, so i'm really at a loss. i've been working so hard for beach weather and not seeing any results. Anyone have any clues??
