I will share my experiences as I work to improve my health as a 67 year-old man who lives a few miles north of San Francisco. My HDL, LDL and triglycerides are out of whack. And I'm carrying about 35 useless pounds of fat as of June 21st (2018). It's been one week since I adapted to Dr. Furhman's recommendations with regard to daily food intake. I encourage you to check it out. On June the morning of June 15th I weighed 208.6 pounds. Today is June 21st and my weight is 201.2 pounds. And each day I've included about 30 minutes of aerobic exercise. Granted that much of that weight loss is water weight. Nonetheless, it's the body adjusting to what I consider a far more healthful lifestyle. My doctor advised against basing my health on weight. It's all about exercise, triglycerides, HDL and LDL and glucose levels. I am now committed to closely monitoring these factors: my life depends on it.
