The awards banquet went well. We were served the southwest chicken salad:
cumin- and chile-marinated grilled chicken served with romaine lettuce, Colby
jack cheese, red pepper, red onion, black bean corn salsa, tortilla strips with
chipotle ranch dressing and fresh-baked corn muffin.
I ate most everything and just a bit of black bean corn salsa & the tortilla strips. Kept the chipotle ranch dressing on the side, just a dip or two. A few bites of the corn muffin. Coffee with Coffee-Mate in tubs (not the best choice, but the only choice for cream). Best of all, I completely ignored the piece of cheesecake topped with cherries in syrup!

Westside Local (KCMO) for lunch.
I had the JALAPENO & JAM BURGER:
~1/2 lb. windhaven farms grass fed beef
~4 slices of bacon
~on a bed of two sisters butter lettuce
on the side:
~roasted jalapeño cream cheese (i ate all of it!)
~house strawberry jam (just a few dips of my burger in it)
Everything was delicious!

Have some "eating events" coming up:
Saturday: lunch with friends @ Westside Local, a farm-fresh eatery in KCMO; should not be a problem.
Sunday: breakfast with a friend, but it's easy to eat a keto breakfast:-)
Monday: awards luncheon at work: probably a cold sandwich. I can eat the meat/cheese if I want to or stick to coffee and water. No problem!
Thursday: meeting buffet at work: grilled sandwich buffet, so I can get a chicken breast with lettuce and tomato.
I think I've got this covered! I'll be saying a prayer, too.
