What I've read is that using BIA may not be as accurate as more 'professional' methods, but using it as a measure to compare against yourself, it works well.

If you measure your BF near the same time every day with the same circumstances (water intake, room temp, etc.. As close as possible), then using that information to gauge if you are going up or down in BF %, you can get a better picture of your progress.
