I am a 44 year old married mom of two boys. They are both teenagers, boy how time flys. I started a modified south beach diet recomened by my doctor in January. I have lost 25 pds. I hope to continue to lose the weight as I have been.

Yes I have found that too. I have really flat cookies and they taste salty. I will try the oatmeal, I read on the splenda pakage that you need to use more baking powder. I dont know but I really like to bake and I miss doing it!

I am trying to figure out how to bake with splenda and the different flours. I have tried two different cookie recipes. Both were awful. I love to bake and miss it but I am very frustrated.
Can anyone give me tips on baking?
Does anyone have a very good cookie recipe?

I hope you will love this diet as much as I do. I have two teenage sons. The older one hates anything healthy but I do slip in low carb meals and he has no idea. My younger one loves eating low carb. I have no idea why (he is skinner then a rail) he encourges me to try new things.
Because of my busy life style I stock up on SBD meals for the week. I find during the week I stick to the diet better if it is easy and quick to make during the weekend I get more creative.
