I was obese from age four on and topped out at 290 in college. Now, at 25 (and 5'8.5''), I'm down 126 lbs, all naturally, having met my official goal! I'm no longer overweight for the first time in my life!!!
In reality, I'm trying to see where I level off now. I think I'd like to lose a bit more bodyfat , but health wise, I'm doing (and feeling) great!
Seeing it as a lifestyle change (and not a diet) has been a huge help to me. Things that have also helped: spaghetti squash, Vitamuffins (100 calorie Deep Chocolate Vitatops ftw!), shirataki noodles, Zumba!, weight training, lean protein, greek yogurt, eating out less, learning to cook new things like falafel and chicken korma, walking to work, eliminating most non-whole wheat carbs, stevia, and cutting down (but not eliminating) alcohol.
