Sleep deprived
Is there anyone out there suffering from insomnia while on the low carb/ ketogenic diet and what did you find to help it. I started the Ketogenic diet about three weeks ago, the first night was amazing sleep wize, but then everything went south, I lost 5 lbs only to gained 4 back, somedays I am able to fall asleep easily, but would wake up at 2 am every single times, or I just lay there wide awake hoping I would get atleast two hours of consistent sleep. I read that magnesium, potassium and Vit D helps, it hasn't help me, I am at my wit end. I work full time and attend class in the evenings, I cannot continue to function without sleep for so long, I have exam coming up soon, I need some relief. PLEASEEEEEEEE! if anyone have any pointers for me I would really appreciate it, right now I am thinking of just taking everything in my medicine cabinet together to see if it helps. I am going to try 5-HTP, Melatonin and benadryl combine assuming I don't overdose myself to see if that help. I am that desperate.

That is an amazing story. Good for you. We need these reminders that everything in moderation is ok. We just need balance.

@Spacey 47 I really appreciates all the information that you are providing. I am one of those people who have struggle all my adult life with weight. I have done the low carb diet and it works for me, but however when i introduce carb back, the weight came back also. I like the fact that you are providing real tips that have worked for you as well as countless others. My only concerns is that your response to some of the people who do not agree with you seems a bit condescending. I believe we all can agree to disagree. Everyone who's on this website are looking for solution, sometime it may take us a few weeks or a few years. All I am saying is that I want you to keep posting these information, but no Caps. I feel like I am watching a shouting match. You know the expression: "once you starts yelling no is listening."
