52 years old - need to lose 85 - 90 pounds. BUT I'm not on a diet, I'm changing the way I view food and my relationship with it.

I have always been at least a little overweight since childhood (except after my second child - went through emotional stress, lost lots of weight - when the situation improved, the weight crept back on). I am an emotional eater, and I have a problem with moderation. I'm a ALL or NOTHING person.

My daughter chose to study nutrition in college because of her parents. Yikes!

Have always had a bit of an athletic build, but now that I've over the "50" all my weight is accumulating mostly in my midsection.

I was in a study for Pre-Diabetes and lost weight when I was working out with weights, it was great! Then due to health issues, I stopped and I'm heavier than ever. Can't seem to get back in the gym.

Started walking first thing in the mornings and I'm loving it! Recently stopped drinking Diet Dr Pepper all day long (and nothing else) and am drinking 120+ oz of water each day. Also cut back on the amount of beer on the weekends.

3 weeks in and no weight loss, so I'm driving in deeper to how much sodium and sugar I'm eating. Joined this site on 5-20-14.
