My name is Amanda. I'm 32. I am married and have 3 children. My oldest daughter is 11 going on 20! My son is 7. My baby daughter is 7 months.
I've never been exremtely overweight but always been very uncomfortable with my appearance and weight. I'm 5'3" and now 158lbs. The heavest I've ever been was 170 after my son was born.
Before I was pregnant with my baby I was at 145 and active enough that I could of lost more. When I got pregnant I gave up on being active.
After having her I was active and got down to 153 but over the past several months I've gone through a depression. Bad enough to just watch tv and sleep all day. I hated it, I hated my house being messy, I hated barely having the energy to take care of my baby and picking up the other two from school.
My husband and I went to an event in town that had a silent auction. I bid on a gym membership and got it! I took it as a sign. I just started on 11/3/10. I met with the owner who is also a trainer and got on a fit program. I've now gone everyday except yesterday because I was sore and wanted to recover. But today, was the best of all...I worked out for 2 hours! FIrst time for that. I am so excited to start this new venture and to regain my energy and will to take care of my daily life. For the first time in my life I am confident that I will suceed in this journey to feel comfortable with the way I look and feel.

Just FYI to pass along-fast food workout snacks under 200 calories
Eating at these places is why we are all here. If you truly want to change your life then you HAVE to stop. All of the items on this list you could easily make at home with natural ingredients and they will taste 10x better. And, you know what's in it. There is so much 'crap' that fast food adds to their food that they don't have to put on their nutrtion facts.
Remember....it's not your tastebuds, it's your mind. If you cannot control your mind, you cannot control your weight.

Just FYI to pass along-fast food workout snacks under 200 calories
DON'T DO IT....Why would you want to put this posion in your body?? Opt for nuts, fruits, vegtables, natural products. Premake you a 200 calorie energy snack before you work out that way you are not tempted to go through a place that only offers processed foods that are in not a single way good for you even if they are under 200 calories.

How often do you weigh yourself?
I weigh myself every morning as soon as I go pee after I wake up. I strip down to nothing and step on. That way I can see if the previous day did any damage and I can adjust my calories or type of food I eat. Oh, and I record everyday on a calendar in my bathoom but only once a week on FS Very Happy
