I just graduated from college, with a BS in Biology and BA in Spanish. After spending the last quarter at school finishing everything I had little time or energy to pay attention to diet and exercise. Now that I'm out I hope to make regular exercise, diet and weight maintenance a higher priority. To start my goal is to get my weight down to 125lb.

I just got a job at a local biomedical research institute, whose research goals are aimed at combating infectious diseases mainly affecting developing countries (ie Malaria, Tuberculosis, HIV/AIDS, and leishmaniasis). I am really excited about working there, about being invovled with biological research with a humanitarian twist, and the windows and doors it will open for the future!

Other things to know about me: I love to travel. I spent 4.5 months living in Spain, and recently took a trip through Vietnam, Thailand and Cambodia. I love to be active, running, tennis (which I have taught and coached in the past), hiking, camping, fishing. And I have a wonderful boyfriend and family who provide me with much support and encouragment.
