Im 35, happily married mom of 3 wonderful little angels (most days) I have decided its time to work on ME... started this journey at 212 lbs according my my weigh in for FS in March 2011. I KNOW with out a doubt I was 225 before my last pregnancy so I ajusted my start weight to that.
On my 35th Birthday in March 2011 I made a goal of being 150lbs by Feb 28 2012...I will celebrate my birthday and my new body!
New to watching what I eat, new to working out, new to the gym. Any advice- tips stories and encouragement is appreciated!

A bit frustrated
I think Diablo is not being a troll. He has done his own research and is sharing what he has learned. I did read the entire thread and I don't feel he was criticizing or out of line. He is expressing his views.
I know of so many people who do low carb and YOYO like crazy. Personally I've done a number of different diets. I find for MYSELF that if I stick to under 100g of carbs that I crave less, binge less and feel better.
That's MY view and experience.

Food is a hard thing to control. you must eat to stay alive. its not always easy to deprive yourself or say no to french-fries. moderation is key but I do find it hard to stay in control once I allow a little cheat it seems to snowball into 20 bls. ARGH

Is it possible to lose weight without physical exercise?

YES weight loss is 80% diet and 20% movement .... until you get close to where you'd like to be, focus on the intake! The gym is about body composition and not about the scale once the majority of the weight is gone.

ratio of carbs, fats and protein
I lift weights 4x a week and need the higher ratio of protien and find personally if i over do it w carbs, i tend to binge and sabotage. Its a hard thing to figure out
