Plant-based food is the way to go!

Benefits of a fully plant-based diet:
-Helps prevent/treat/reverse MOST of the leading causes of death (like heart disease, type 2 diabetes, cancer, high blood pressure).
-90 percent reductions in angina attacks within a few weeks.
-Greater diet satisfaction, improved digestion, increased energy, better sleep, significant improvement in physical functioning, general health, vitality, and mental health.
-Improvement in body weight, blood sugar levels, control of cholesterol, and emotional states(including depression, anxiety, fatigue, sense of well-being, and daily functioning).

-People who once ate vegetarian diets but then started to eat meat at least once a week experienced a 231 percent increase in odds for weight gain.
-Only a diet centered around whole plant foods has been proven to reverse heart disease in the majority of people.
-By age 10, nearly all kids have fatty streaks in their arteries (the first sign of heart disease).
-Dietary cholesterol is ONLY found in animal products.
-Dietary cholesterol is the most common cause of heart disease.

Among omnivores and vegetarians, the only group of people to have (on average) a HEALTHY, non-overweight BMI were the ones consuming no animal products. A plant-based diet was found to be the best diet for weight loss, with no rebound weight gain. Participants are able to lose weight at a healthy rate while still being able to eat until they are full.

I am young, but I do have my share of problems, one of them being severe depression lasting 10 years that was incurable by antidepressants. It has not been long since I've slowly made this switch, and yet, I notice an incredible difference already. More energy, WAY more happiness, and the depressing moments that used to rule my life are now extremely rare. I'm so excited about this and all of the other ways it's helped me.
