I'm a 38yo woman who has managed to get my figure back in shape after having 2 beautiful children. I gained lots of weight with my first pregnancy but managed to lose it all in 6 months and then found out i was pregnant again. I now have a healthy happy toddler girl and boy.
Following my second pregnancy i was only 12st 13lb so i didn't have as much to lose. After Beth i was 14st!
I've decided to change my goal weight again from 140lbs to 135lbs just so i can say i'm 9st something. I have no deadline and am not following any crazy diet, i've just worked out my active metabolic rate (AMR) and set my calorie allowance accordingly in order to aim at 0.5 - 1lb weight loss each week. At this stage im really only looking to shred body fat and start looking leaner as I am now slim after already losing 60lbs.
Another lifestyle change is that i'm doing my best to remove processed foods from the whole families diet and eating organic. The one part of losing weight that i don't struggle with is exercisng. I love to workout and will exercise most days or atleast be active around the house with the kids and doing housework.
I've spent what seems my whole life watching my weight go up and down and its just boring now, i'm determined to be a 'healthy' weight and stay there. I want to get on the scales and not be classed as overweight, i want to go into shops and slip into clothes easily and not dread trying on jeans and seeing them unable to get past my thighs.
I have to praise myself for getting this far as its not been easy and its definatley a day to day concious effort to stay on track and make the time for myself to eat healthy and fit in my exercise.
