Finally my TICKER UPDATED!!!!! After weeks....
I've always found, that during weight training- for the 30-60 seconds I'm performing a (single) set, my heart-rate shoots up. Then while I'm "recovering" between sets (approx 60 sec), my heart-rate returns (close) to baseline. Then begins my second set- heart-rate spikes, goes down while "recovering"- then repeat. Kind of like interval training on an elliptical or treadmill. There are times, when I get done with weight training and I look as if I have jogged for the last hour and my heart is pounding
) I'm not disagreeing with making cardio part of a workout regimen (in fact, a combination of cardio and weight training is ideal)- however, cardio does not increase muscle mass, strengthen bones, nor does it keep you from loosing muscle mass- which are all things that weight training promotes.
