Atkins & Increased LDL
Also, as I understand it, it's quite normal for the LDL levels to initially spike on Atkins. It's only when you've been on it for 3 - 6 months that the typical drops happen. Don't panic and I second the advice to check out the Atkins website. Lots of useful info there.

Atkins / Pms
I have definitely noticed an improvement in many of those areas - including the PMS! I assumed it was related to diet and just one more reason to keep going! Smile

I do that up and down thing, sometimes +/- 2 or 3 pounds from day to day. It can be frustrating but I can usually trace it back to increased water retention or something similar. I weigh everyday but try to be very mindful of the fact that the scale is not always the most accurate measurement of my weight loss success because weight is affected by so many things that have absolutely nothing to do with the amount of fat on my body.

My Butt
I've still got plenty of junk in my trunk but I have noticed that laying on my side is no longer as comfortable because my hip bones are pressing harder into the surface on which I am laying and I still have PLENTY of padding. Don't know what it will be like when that padding is significantly reduced.

It happens, don't sweat it too much. I had something very similar happen to me - I just used it as a learning lesson and now I'm far more aware of potentially "hidden" carbs.

Hoser is right, you just slowed yourself down a bit - you didn't mess everything up. My mistake caused a small bounce on the scale that corrected itself in a day or two - no worries. Smile
