My name's Ross. My wife, daughter, and I live in the Kansas City area.
Thought I was in good shape and health at 180lbs back in 2009. Found out I had high blood pressure and my LDL/HDL numbers were trending negatively (190+)...not to mention my beer guts kept getting larger. Starting running and then in March starting using fatsecret.com to count calories. Now I'm down to 143lbs (june 11 2011). Blood pressure is great, LDL / HDL is now at 140.
The great things is, I've learned that you don't have to starve yourself to lose weight. LOTS of veggies and high fiber foods does the trick. This app has done miracles for my food "education", so many times people forget just how many hidden calories are out there.
My wife also had a baby in January and we've held each other accountable. She's lost over 30lbs. We've never looked and felt so good.
