I am 45 years old and have always been active until two years ago when i had an accident at work. Since the accident i have had four major surgeries, and my activity level had dropped a great deal. I had always maintained a weight of around 140 lb.'s until the accident and now i continue to gain weight.
I love walking, running and cardio workout's, my goal is to get back into the 140 range and lower my BMI.

Water retention
Wonderful information @Ingria I will definitely check this out and double check my entries, i will also look for the raw beet juice as that sounds better than taking a pill every day. I have removed any packaged food's from my diet and i am cooking everything now from scratch, other than a Protein bar when i am out walking and am too far away from home to grab a fresh snack.
I am really looking into all food's such as super foods to help with some of the issues i have. Any more info or suggestion's would be great, again thank's for the info.

Water retention
My daily menu chart shows my Sodium consumption at around 3000mg, this is one reason i have been drinking more water. I am trying to lower my sodium intake with my weekly menu, i do not add any extra salt in cooking i actually use NoSalt which has zero sodium to cook and season with. I walk from 3 miles up to 12 miles per day so i need to stay hydrated so i drink a lot of water there, the drinks they sell at the store have too many extra ingredient's added to drink to replenish my water extra sugar and things like that.
I am in-between a Rock and a hard place... I think that is the saying... I would love to lower my sodium intake as i have high blood pressure which i take medication for. ANY SUGGESTIONS ??? @59Sharbar

Water retention
Well right now i am drinking approx. 160 fluid oz of water give or take each day. I have 10 20oz bottles i have filled with water and labeled in numerical order. When i reach 8 bottles i refill them for the next day, some days more and some days a little less

Thank's a bunch for the reply... I see now that i have been exceeding my sodium intake a great deal, now i need to adjust my menu for the upcoming week to fix this.
