Married, Father of 3 living in Carmel, IN. When I turned 40 last year, I weighed in at 254 lbs, the heaviest I had ever been in my life. I started a regimen of walking and jogging, and lost an impressive 20 lbs, in 2 months. The winter months came, and I got lazy again, and the weight started to come back on. I weighed 244 lbs, on Jan 1st, 2010. I started running, and working out, and got down to 219 lbs by May 2010. However, I recently moved to IN, and in the process, stopped working out again. Well, the results were obvious. I went back up to 236 lbs, in just 2 months. Now, I have not been the model citizen when it comes to eating, and it showed. I am now back in the gym full-time, with the hopes of reaching my ultimate goal weight of 210 lbs, by the end of the year.

Carbohydrate Intake
I am interested in knowing what a good daily Carbohydrate intake would be? Currently, I weigh 231, but would like to get down to about 210, by end of year. At present, I don't do any weight lifting. However, I do run 2-3 miles every morning. I am looking for a "good rule of thumb". (e.g. Daily caloric intake should be 2000 cal. You should drink 8 glasses of water. 1g of Protein for each 2lbs of body weight).

Thanks, and I love this website. I just discovered it a week ago, and I am hooked.
